Yesterday I met members of the Royal British Legion to commemorate Remembrance Day.
I had the opportunity to thank them personally for their service.
We also spoke about their concerns on a number of topics, including Northern Ireland, where they felt that veterans were being percecuted despite the Good Friday Agreement. This is something I was able to learn more about. I was told about the implications of sending the lower ranked soldiers into Northern Ireland on morale.
Thank you to these members of the royal British legion for sharing their stories and knowledge.
